Title: Site independent global solar radiation correlation with bright sunshine hours

Abstract: Annual average daily fraction of global solar radiation and the daily percent of possible sunshine data for different locations distributed widely all over the world are used for the establishment of regression co-efficients of modified Angstrom-type linear correlation. The obtained values of the regression parameters are found to be very close to those of Reitveld's work [Agr Meteorol (UK), 19 (1978) 243]. The fair agreements between the parameter values obtained from different methods confirm the validity of the present work. The proposed correlation gives better results as compared to that obtained from Reitveld's work, which is assumed to be applicable anywhere in the world.
