| Abstract: | A trouble free & swift method have been established for synthesis of thiazines from carbostyril CAB¹ and dimidone DIM² using sulphur powder and iodine as a catalyst in presence of THF solvent. The structures of the compounds have been elucidated on the basis of spectral analysis. |
