Abstract: Computer simulation for the mathematical model of shuttle and picker/picking stick axial impact has been done using the given constraints. Reduction in shuttle speed by impact and the number of impacts with picker have been predicted. It is found that the axial impact with picker/picking stick gives 50% reduction in shuttle speed over a distance of 3 cm. The moment of inertia of picking stick is the most important variable affecting the shuttle speed reduction.
