dc.description.abstractNylon and polyester fibres have been dyed with carotenoid dye bixin—the colour component of annato. It is observed  that though both the fibres have good affinity for this dye, the mechanism of dye adsorption , as indicated by the isotherms, is different in each case. The dye has moderate fastness to washing but poor to light.en_US
