dc.description.abstractElectrodeposition of Zn-Co-Ti ternary alloys on steel substrates has been carried out at the different concentrations of electrolyte, temperature and current density. The effects of these parameters on the cathodic polarization, cathode current efficiency and composition of the deposits have been investigated. In general blackish grey and dull thin films were obtained. The cathode current efficiency increases with increasing pH value and temperature at a given current density. The throwing number of the electrolytic bath was calculated from the value of the Tafel slope and the resistivity. The surface morphology and the corrosion behaviour of the deposits have also been evaluated.en_US
