Abstract: | High resolution photographic plates having a coating of exceedingly fine-grained photosensitive emulsions with submicroscopic crystals of silver bromide in gelatin have been developed. The emulsions have been prepared by controlling various factors such as concentration of gelatin and reactants, emulsification time and temperature, mixing procedures and addition of inhibitor, hardener and sensitizer. Flatness uniformity, coating thickness, grain size, fog, contrast, sensitivity and resolution of the photographic plates have been determined. |
