Title: Effect on S-band microstripline rejection filter due to oxide pellet overlay

Abstract: Studies on the effect of bulk (pellet) TiO2, Bi2O3, ZrO2 ,Sb2O3 and CuO overlay on a microstrip λ /2 rejection filter in the S-band show the shifting of resonance frequency towards the lower frequency side. Also, oxide dependent changes in Q are observed. The higher the dielectric constant, more is the frequency shift. Overlay technique may be used to tune the resonant circuit by varying the dielectric constant of the overlay.
