Abstract: Phytochemical analysis of the rhizomes of Curcuma aromatica Salisb.(Zingiberaceae) lead to the isolation of a sesquiterpenoid named zederone for the first time from this plantt, which shows moderate antifeedant activity against 4th instar larva of Spilarctia obliqua.
