|Abstract:||Irradiation of solutions of sulphoxides in organic solvents in the presence of suspended TiO2 results in the deoxygenation giving sulphides in fairly good yields. The mechanism involves the transfer of an electron from the conduction band of the semiconductor to the sulphoxide.|
