Abstract: The densities, viscosities and ultrasonic velocities of binary mixtures of propan-1-ol, butan-1-ol and pentan-1-ol with 1,2- dibromoethane have been determined at 298.15, 303.15 , 308.15 and 313.15 K over the entire composition range. The above experimental data has been utilized to estimate excess acoustic impedance (ZE), excess isentropic compressibility (KsE), excess free volume (VfE) and internal pressure (πi) values to discuss the existence of molecular interaction in the mixtures.
