Abstract: Many material based technologies are being attempted for developing functionally graded coatings to withstand increasingly demanding conditions like higher temperatures, corrosive atmospheres, erosive attack, etc. This article describes a computerized concept to develop gradient or layered coatings using the detonation spray coating (DSC) technique.
