Abstract: The solubilities of freons in water in terms of Henry's constant (KH) in presence of N2, O2, and CO2 have been studied at 298.15 K and at 1 atmospheric pressure using the Scaled Particle Theory (S PT). The values of KH have been found to increase with increase in the mole fraction of N2, O2, and CO2 except for CF4 in all cases and for CCl2F2 and CClF3 in presence of CO2. For a particular composition, the solubilities follow the order CO2 > O2 > N2.
