dc.description.abstractThe Department of Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy (Dept of ISM&H), Government of India, constituted an inter-disciplinary task force for preparing a report on establishing a Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (TKDL) in 1999. The objective of the TKDL is to make accessible India's traditional knowledge to the patent examiners globally and to prevent the grant of patents on non-original inventions based on its traditional system. This is the gist of the TKDL Task Force Report. Besides describing the details of the tasks accomplished by the Task Force, it gives TKDL vision view, its findings, recommendations, conclusions, etc.en_US
