Abstract: The effects of porosity on unsteady magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) flow of an electrically-conducting fluid past an exponentially accelerated semi-infinite moving vertical plate with time dependent suction have been studied. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the wall. The plate moves with a constant velocity in the direction of fluid flow while the free stream velocity follows an exponentially increasing small perturbation law. The governing equations of motion and energy are transformed into ordinary differential equations using time dependent similarity parameter. These differential equations are then solved numerically using Flex PDE solver. The effects of various physical parameters on velocity and temperature distribution are presented quantitatively and graphically.
