Abstract: The present communication deals with the results of three ethnobotanical field surveys carried out during 1999-2000, besides the collection of plant samples for primary biological screening programme of CDRI. The survey comprises the medicinal uses of 36 plant species belonging to 36 genera and falls under 24 families of flowering plants which are used in day to day ailments as medicines. The species are enumerated in alphabetical order, giving their family in parenthesis, vernacular name(s), status of distribution, phenology and medicinal uses with their preparation, doses and duration of the treatment, etc.
