dc.description.abstractA series of mixed-valence binuclear CuII-CuI complexes of dithiocarbamate ligands have been prepared. These complexes have been characterized by spectral (EPR & electronic) studies, magnetic measurements and elemental analysis. At room temĀ­perature in solution, only four complexes are EPR localized, whereas the remaining two complexes show seven-line copper hyperfine spectra which assign delocalization. Well resolved intervalence transfer (IT) bands are observed in the electronic spectra for all complexes which also support the phenomena of electron localization as well as delocalization.en_US
