Abstract: Apparent molar volumes (ϕv) and compressibilities (ϕk) of MnCl2 in the concentration range of 0.2 to 1 M, at five different temperatures in aqueous medium have been computed from the measured sound velocities and densities. The limiting values of ϕvvo), ϕkko) and their concentration variations are explained, on the basis of ion solvent and ion-ion interactions.
