Abstract: A new series of polymeric and binuclear Mn(II) chelates have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, electronic, IR , and EPR spectra. The room temperature magnetic susceptibility and the spectral analysis of the two types of complexes indicate a markedly different behaviour. Binuclear complexes are 1:1 electrolyte whereas polymeric mononuclear Mn(II) complexes are non-conducting.
