|Abstract:||Studies the awareness, use, frequency of use, purpose/s of using, opinion on the coverage and arrangement, approaches used in searching, usefulness and the need for user instruction in the use of Guide to Indian periodical Literature (GIPL) among social scientists in India with special reference to Gulbarga University, Gulbarga. Also tests the null hypothesis that the personal attributes of social scientists have no bearing on them. Concludes that there is a need for formal instruction in the use of GIPL among social scientists in India.|
