Title: Global solar radiation correlation with bright sunshine hour data for Malaysia

Abstract: The present work analyzes the meteorological data for eight locations in Malaysia and finds a better correlation of modified Angstrom-type linear equation using least square regression technique. A general correlation is also established. Predicted results are compared with the earlier work. Model performance is tested by a useful statistical operator, the t-statistics, at a particular confidence level Regional correlation gives results with an accuracy of 2-3%, while the countrywide general correlation has an accuracy within the limit of 10%.
