| Abstract: | A green, simple and environmentally friendly approach has been carried out towards one-step synthesis of 2,6-diamino-4-phenyl pyrimidine-5-carbonitrile by three-component condensation of aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile and guanidine hydrochloride in aqueous medium using potassium carbonate and in the presence of tetrabutyl ammonium bromide. |
