Title: Chemical structure of the core region of enteropathogenic Escherichia coli O125,O142 and O158 lipopolysaccharide

Abstract: The core structures of E. coli O125/O142/O158 lipopolysaccharide has been investigated using methylation analysis/mass spectrometry, chemical degradations and one-dimensional 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. E.coli O125 is found to be identical with R-1 and O142/O158 with R-3 type of enterobacterial core structure.
