| Abstract: | In the current era of IT (Information technology), the
information needs of the users have increased considerably that no library
individually can meet all the information requirements of the users. This has
required the need for efficient association and collaboration between libraries
and information centres for sharing their available resources and information
through networking. The consortia approach can be considered as a major step
towards library collaboration in sharing electronic resources.
The
paper describes the DBT’s Electronic Resources Consortium (DeLCON). |
