| Abstract: | Present paper document folklore medicines used by the tribal communities inhabiting in buffer zone of Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, Uttarakhand. The field work was carried out among the tribes viz. Bhotiyas, Tolchhas and among the general inhabitants living in the vicinity of the forests and remote localities. These communities utilize plants and plant products as aphrodisiac medicine. This paper deals with 17 significant medicinal plants belonging to 16 genera and 14 families used by the local community for the treatment of sexual incapability. |
