| Abstract: | Indus-2 is an
electron synchrotron radiation source. The Synchrotron Radiation (SR) photons
are transported to the experimental station through twenty-six beamlines. The
radiation environment around the beamline mainly comprises of Bremsstrahlung
Radiation (BR) and Synchrotron Radiation (SR). Radiation shielded hutches are
required for the protection for personnel against these radiation hazards.
Standardization of the hutch design and fabrication process was done. This
paper discusses hutch layout design, standardization of fabrication, shielding
philosophy, material selection, quality checks, installation and subsequent
optimization based on radiation measurements.
