dc.description.abstractA series of octahydroacridine-1,8-diones have been synthesized in good yield via one-pot synthesis of corresponding tetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoline-4-carbaldehyde,3-(4-fluorophenylamino)-5,5-dimethylcyclohex-2-enones and dimedone or cyclohexane-1,3-dione in acetic acid. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds have been confirmed by IR, 1H and 13C NMR, mass spectral studies and elemental analysis. All the synthesized compounds have been screened for antimicrobial and anti-tubercular activities.en_US
