Abstract: A series of octahydroacridine-1,8-diones have been synthesized in good yield <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">via</i> one-pot synthesis of corresponding tetrazolo[1,5-<i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">a</i>]quinoline-4-carbaldehyde,3-(4-fluorophenylamino)-5,5-dimethylcyclohex-2-enones<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"> </b>and dimedone or cyclohexane-1,3-dione<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"> </b>in<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"> </b>acetic acid.<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"> </b>The structures of the newly synthesized compounds have been confirmed by IR, <sup>1</sup>H and <sup>13</sup>C NMR, mass spectral studies and elemental analysis. All the synthesized compounds have been screened for antimicrobial and anti-tubercular activities.
