| Abstract: | 1-Hepta-O-acetyl-β-D-lactosyl-3-aryl 2 / substituted benzothiazolyl carbamides 3 and N-hepta-O-acetyl-β-D-lactosyl-O-alkyl carbamates 4 have been prepared by the interaction of hepta-O-acetyl-β-D-lactosyl isocyanate and aryl amines/substituted benzothiazoles and various alcohols respectively. The identities of these newly synthesized compounds are established on the basis of elemental analysis, IR, NMR and mass spectral analysis. |
