dc.description.abstractRapid and efficient condensation of 2-aminothiophenol with various fatty acids under microwave irradiation in solvent-free conditions with or without P₄S₁₀ is carried out to afford the corresponding 2-substituted benzothiazoles. The one-pot synthesis is obtained in high purity, good yield of products and in short span of time in presence of catalyst under MW irradiation. The compounds are identified on the basis of IR, ¹H NMR and MS.en_US
