Abstract: This study has been carried out for the estimation of the induced activity in different parts of the accelerator and in the radiation shield constructed around the accelerator and the dose rate after various cooling times to estimate the dose to the radiation workers during the shutdown and maintenance of the cyclotron. An effort has also been made to estimate the residual activity for 80 MeV protons bombarded on Stainless Steel thereon activity produced on different materials like Cu, Al, Concrete and SS of different thickness. Cu, Al, SS are among many other materials which are widely used for fabrication of any accelerator.
