Abstract: A set of hitherto unreported 13- to 20-membered Schiff base macrocycles have been synthesized by the reaction of Schiff base with dielectrophiles <i style="">via</i> the intermediacy of remote dianion in non-template method. The structural features of the synthesized macrocycles have been determined by their satisfactory elemental analyses and spectral (IR, <sup>1</sup>H, <sup>13</sup>C NMR and Mass) studies.
