Abstract: Present article consists the design process of modular AUV propeller using cold forging process. Modular approach emphasis on enhancing parts manufacturability and assemblability by simplifying their configuration. In addition, details steps involve in manufacturing process are also described. Optimization using FEA takes place before product is manufactured. In this paper, error assessment was performed to evaluate the accuracy of the forged part. Based on the experiment conducted, the performance of the propeller is still within the specified design requirements even though the error is quite large.
