| Abstract: | 5-{2′-Chloro-6′-methyl-(3′-quinolyl)}-3-(substitutedphenyl)
pyrazole 3a-j,
5-{2′-chloro-6′-methyl-(3′-quinolyl)}-3-(substitutedphenyl) pyrazole
carboxamide 4a-j and 5-{2′-chloro-6′-methyl-(3′-quinolyl)}-3-(substitutedphenyl)
pyrazole carbothiamide 5a-j have been
synthesized by the reaction of
3-(2′-chloro-6′-methyl(3′-quinolyl))-1-(substitutedphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one 2a-j
with hydrazine hydrate, semicarbazide hydrochloride and thiosemicarbazide
hydrochloride respectively. These compounds have been screened for their
antibacterial and antifungal activities against different microorganisms. The
structures of novel synthesized compounds have been established on the basis of
elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR and mass spectral data. |
