dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of environment friendly organic manure and biofertilizer on plant growth and yield parameters of Brassica juncea (L.) Czern & Coss. cv. Pusa Bold. Growth and yield were recorded on the basis of plant height, fresh weight of shoot and root, dry weight of shoot and root and seed yield per plant. Organic manure neem cake and biofertilizer Azospirillum inoculation were applied separately and in combination of neem cake and Azospirillum both. Uninoculated seeds were also sown in separate pots to run control. Application of neem cake and Azospirillum and their combination recorded significantly higher plant growth and yield over the control. Neem cake resulted in higher growth and yield as compared to Azospirillum inoculation. However, the combination of both treatments proved best in improving plant growth and yield (22.06 and 66.47 % in shoot and root length, 24.93 and 76.47 % in fresh weight of shoot and root, 26.08 and 85.0 % in dry weight of shoot and root and seed yield was increased by 68.93 % over control) in comparison to neem cake and bacterium inoculations separately.en_US
