Abstract: This study evaluates sorbent decontaminants [fullers earth (FE) , fast act (FA), activated alumina (AA), mixed oxide aerogel Al2O3-CuO (MOA), nanosized TiO2 (NT)] for physical removal efficiency and chemical reactivity using gas chromatography against sulphur mustard (HD) contaminated surfaces of glass, metal, painted metal, and rubber. NT exhibited superior physical removal efficiency and chemical reactivity against HD, thus proving as potential sorbent decontaminant against chemical warfare agent (CWA) spills.
