| Abstract: | This study presents operating factors affecting
yield of total phenol and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) value of
extracts from lotus rhizome using orthogonal design experiment (L9(34)) based on single
factor experiments. Optimum extraction conditions on yield of total phenol and
FRAP value, respectively, were found as follows: ratio of material to liquid, 1
g: 6 ml, 1 g: 8 ml; extraction temperature, 70oC, 50oC; extraction time, 2
h, 0.5 h; and ethanol concentration, 40%, 40%. |
