| Abstract: | A diamine,
4-(4-phthalimidophenyl)-1,2,4-triazolidyne-3,5-diamine or urazolediamine (UD)
has been synthesized in 8 steps from 4-nitrobenzoic acid. The diamine has been
characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR and melting point and can be used as a
monomer for the preparation of polyesters, polyamides and polyimides. |
