| Abstract: | An efficient one-pot
condensation of -naphthol, aldehyde and active methylene substrate is achieved
using catalytic amount of phosphomolybdic acid. This multi-component reaction
resulted in the synthesis of several naphthopyran derivatives in good yields. |
