| Abstract: | A rapid, efficient,
economic and easy to scale method for the effective conversion of carbamates to
corresponding N,N-dichlorocarbamates by using calcium hypochlorite in
acidic medium has been described. The transformation has been carried out at
room temperature with high yield and purity with reduced reaction time. |
