Abstract: The study was conducted as a single blind, randomized and standard controlled trial. Forty patients of <i>Warme Shoab Muzmin</i> were selected and randomly assigned to control and test groups; comprising 20 patients in each group. Test formulation consisting <i style="">Aslussoo<u>s</u></i> (<i>Glycyrrhiza glabra</i>),<i> </i><i style="">Parsiyaoshan</i> (<i>Adiantum capillus veresis</i>)<i>, </i><i style="">Zufa yabis</i> (<i>Hyssopus officinalis</i>) and <i style="">Sapistan</i> (<i style="">Cordia dichotoma</i>) was given to the test group in the dose of 20 gm/day in decoction form for 45 days. The standard group received <i style="">Ambroxol</i> as a standard drug in the dose of 75 mg in tablet form once a day orally for 45 days. All the patients were assessed for subjective and objective parameters. The results were analyzed statistically using Mann- Whitney test ‘U’, Wilcoxon matched pairs signed rank test and student’s ‘t’ test. The test drug exhibited statistically significant improvement in cough (p<0.004), sputum production (p<0.001), and breathlessness (p<0.0146) in subjective parameters in comparison to control group. A significant improvement was also observed in wheezes (p<0.004), chest X- Ray findings (p<0.0477), and spirometric measures consisting of <span style="color: rgb(41, 37, 38);">FEV<sub>1</sub> % predicted (p<0.01), FEV<sub>1</sub>/FVC % (p<0.019), and PEF (p<0.03). </span>
