| Abstract: | An ethnobotanical survey was carried out
among the Malayali tribes in the
Kolli hills of the Eastern Ghats, Tamil Nadu for the exploration of
antidiabetic herbal remedies. A total of 16 species belonging to 16 genera and
13 families were identified which are being used for the treatment of diabetes.
The discovered medicinal recipes have great potential for the discovery of new
antidiabetic drugs. |
