dc.description.abstractA novel and efficient three-component one-pot condensation method has been described for the synthesis of tetraketones or arylmethylene[bis(3-hydroxy-2-cyclohexene-1-ones)] using Yb(OTf)3-SiO2 and amine as catalytic system under solvent free conditions. Tetraketones are obtained in high yield (73-88%). The application of an eco-friendly, non-corrosive, and reusable catalytic system makes this method advantageous.en_US
