Abstract: Fibre- Leptadenia pyrotechnica (Forsk.) Decne is a widely grown fibre crop and is popularly known as khimp in Rajasthan, khip in Gujarat and kip in Punjab.

Food- Isabgol (Plantago ovata Forsk.) seed and husk are commonly used as laxative inchronic constipation, dysentery and diarrhoea.
