| Abstract: | Banana, Musa paradisiaca Linn. has become a major commercial crop since its fruits are being used throughout the country round the year. In Jalgaon, Maharashtra an area of more than 47,000 hectares is under its cultivation but conventional growing methods do not result in uniformity in plants. Through tissue culture technique uniform, true to type and disease-free plants in short time and in a small space with higher yield have been produced. |
