Abstract: | Artemisia annua Linn. has been used in Chinese folk medicine formany centuries to treat malaria. The activity is attributed to artemisinine, a sesquiterpene lactone with an endoperoxide group. Keeping this background in mind, Patricia Dias andothers from Brazil studied the antiulcer activity of crude ethanol extract and purified fractions of this plant. |
