Abstract: | The hypoglycaemic activity of aqueous extract of Neem (Azadirachta indica A. Juss.) leaves showed moderate decrease inactivity (11-24%) in albino male alloxan induced diabetic mice of 25-30g. In continuation of this finding recently the leaves have been examined for hypoglycaemic activity in streptozotocin induced glycaemia (diabetes) using animal models taking chlorpropamide (sulphonyl urea derivative) as a standard drug. |
