| Abstract: | Jatropha curcas Linn., commonly known as Purging Nut or Jangli-arandi is a perennial monoecious shrub or small tree up to 6m in height. It is a promising bio-fuel crop which can be successfully cultivated on wastelands. It can also be used to combat soil erosion. It has a productive life of 40-50 years without necessitating planting or tending. |
