Abstract: Obesity has assumed epidemic proportions in the developed nations. Obesity is the mother of many diseases. An obese person has a body weight in excess of 10% of the recommended weight for height. According to ayurveda obese body is described as the one afflicted with the most diseases and troubles amongst eight different types of bodies that are disease prone.
