dc.description.abstractPoly (2-hydroxy ethyl methacrylate) has been prepared by free radical bulk polymerization at 80ºC and characterization of its microstructure has been carried out using one-dimensional (¹H, ¹³C{¹H}) and two-dimensional (HSQC, TOCSY and HMBC) NMR spectra. The methyl, methylene and carbonyl carbon resonance signals have been found to be sensitive to various configurational sequences. 2D TOCSY spectrum has been used to examine the coupling between bonded protons. 2D HMBC spectrum shows long range coupling between quaternary, methylene and carbonyl carbon with methyl protons.en_US
