|Abstract:||This study presents optimization of process parameters using Taguchi design method in finish turning of austempered ductile iron. An orthogonal array of L<sub>18</sub> was used; ANOVA was performed to identify significant factors affecting surface roughness (R<sub>a</sub>) and primary cutting force (F<sub>c</sub>). Optimum processes parameter combination was acquired by using analysis of signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio. For R<sub>a</sub> and F<sub>c</sub> values, prediction error was found to be within the confidence limit at 95% confidence level.|
